Sun safe

My latest obsession has been finding a foundation with sunscreen.

Pur Minerals CC Cream with Broad Spectrum SPF 40. Here's to being hopeful!

I want a solution that will provide medium coverage because I'm too lazy to do a separate concealer product for my problem places. With global warming and all, I also am learning the importance of incorporating some SPF into whatever I can. No freckles for me please!
So hot in Japan..

Cheery cherry

What's with the beezing? Well at least the kids are licking eyeballs anymore..
Burt's Bees Lip Shimmer - Cherry. Rattles in my purse always in case I need an easy swipe of color on the go.

Stockpile

Could using mini size product to mini size product be bad for you? I mean in that your body never fully adjusts; that you're constantly bombarding it with new potions? There are a number of items I frankly haven't bought in years.
Between samples and hotel amenities, my hoard accumulates faster than I can use up. I suppose this will change once I stop travelling so much. Or I get bigger and have more surface area to cover.

Tokyo time

What are you doing still awake?
I'm on the other side of the world wondering how to take it all in.
Been staying at Hotel Okuras. Magnificent history, world-class clientele, impeccable hospitality.

Water World

Wow, what a weekend! And not in the good way. If I was a superstitious person, I'd think Friday the 13th set me up. How many times can our apartment flood in 1 year? Third time and counting.. Previously, each time I think it's the last, but now I think it's a sign to grow up and get our own home!
Youtube has comical clips of the epic event if you're curious.

A rose by any other name would smell as sweet

Battle of high-end vs low-end:
against
I happen to think L'occitane's Peony smells darn close to The Body Shop's Morrocan Rose. Pity, I had envisioned it moreso like this:
Fresh fluffy blooms. Balls of pink petals. Where is my floral wonderland scent!? I had such high hopes for this product because I adore peonies. Unfortunately, this is the first L'Occitane en Provence product that has let me down.  Well, usually I say for L'Occitane, although I don't care for the shimmer in this one, is that their lotions' texture is far superior to The Body Shop's. Is it just me, or does The Body Shop's lotions feel sticky and the coating just sits on top of the skin? I want a lotion to feel like it's soaked into my skin's layers and is feeding moisture and nutrients to each cell. My skin deserves to feel supple after the damage I inflict upon it, whether its the harsh Canadian winter, drying air conditioner in the office, or overexposure to the unexpectedly scorchable Vancouver sunshine. I have an Almond Milk L'Occitane en Provence lotion sample in my stash I've yet to try out. I'm eager to think it'll both smell dreamy and melt into my skin to the satisfying moisturizing extent!

TV Tee

Uniqlo's teamed up to bring us a nostalgic line of Popeye the Sailorman character shirts.
But what drew me to this was that it is the exact color of my hair!

It's wedding season!

Here's a pretty piece from my most recent giveaway win from a fellow Canadian blogger who is fond of whimsical accessories:
These white lucite cabochon earrings totally look like the dahlias in my ridiculous wedding bouquet:
I know I asked for my flowers to be bigger than standard, but I failed to realized that meant the diameter was wider than my waist! I thought it looked like a cauliflower and was heavy as heck; I lugged the thing around like a football all day. Most graceless bride ever.

So this is me:

Forget the the Pantone color forecast for this season; I'm glad Radiant Orchid never caught on. I for one am still loving last year's Emerald. I never thought green hair would be so vibrant against my skin tone! It makes me feel like a mermaid. Or as per my significant other, I should be Sailor Mercury for Halloween.

My hair changes a lot, as fast as I can grow it actually. For the past 2 years I've been hair modelling as a hobby. I can say I've had fantastic success experimenting with always unique looks. I'd highly encourage you to trust your stylist! Hair can completely change the way you look. Hair always comes back; it's the one thing you can play with without consequences!

Another perk to hair modelling besides the free make-over is the model gift! Here is a hair treatment I've received:

Goldwell Dual Senses Rich Repair 60sec Treatment
Look this stuff up on Google for reviews. My hair generally is great for showing off color jobs because its so very very black, but to get the colour in, I have to bleach it to blond. Bleaching hurts your hair, but thanks to this, you'd never know it. Hello soft smooth glossy hair!
